Congratulations! The next step of your application is to complete your residency by logging in to your application account at fscj.edu/apply. You will need to complete the “Residency Declaration” checklist item. Once your residency declaration is submitted and approved, the next steps for admission can be found on our Admissions webpage. Please use it as a guide.
As part of the admission process, a student applying to Florida State College at Jacksonville must complete a residency form or affidavit in order to declare Florida residency for tuition purposes. College staff will review this information and related documentation to verify residency and eligibility for in-state tuition. For purposes of tuition, a Florida resident is a person who has, or a dependent person whose parent or legal guardian has, established and maintained legal residency in Florida for at least twelve (12) consecutive months preceding the first day of classes of the term for which Florida residency is sought. You can review the tuition cost for resident and non-resident students here: https://www.fscj.edu/admissions-aid/student-financial-services/tuition-fees. For more information on Residency for Tuition Purposes, please visit https://www.fscj.edu/docs/default-source/admissions-documents/residency-requirements_final.pdf?sfvrsn=b9f784d5_4.
